Landing Restaurant in Natchitoches

Great service and for being first time at the establishment it was a great time!

First of all the food is great, has been every time we have gone. Wait staff has always been top notch , but they sure weren’t on top of their game tonight, took forever to get drinks and appetizers ordered., then when we were finish and got or tab no one came back to get payment, Very disappointed tonight with service

I’m not sure how this restaurant is still in business. We waited an hour for a table, waited another hour and a half for our food that never arrived. In fact, we watched 3 other tables walk out and leave without eating. No one in the restaurant had any food other than salads on their tables. I’m not sure what was going on in the kitchen. After 2 1/2 hours, we left with our 4 children and diabetic grandfather looking for other food at 8 pm. We had 2 nights here to enjoy the Christmas lights and one night was literally ruined by this experience. The manager nor waiter was helpful or seemed to genuinely care. I would not even try to go to this place unless you want your evening ruined as well.

The Landing is a special place for my wife and I. We live about 1 and 1/2 hr away and still try to dine there every couple of months. Love to sit by a window and watch the crowd walk by

Went for the fried green tomatoes! Something has changed for the better since our last visit, a year ago? Food was really good, service was better.

I grew up in this town and it's not the same landing that used to be it's more of a bar now and that's okay but the food is gone down a lil bit

The food was excellent, atmosphere laid back and friendly. The bartenders were amazing while we waited for a table. Our waiter answered all my questions and was very professional. Would definitely return

Great food to flop a lip over served up by an effervescent Coed working her way through school. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Everything we got was excellent. The sampler platter of starters was loaded with lots of good stuff and the entrees absolutely hit the spot. We will be there again soon.

Down town historic Natchitoches. Very nice decor. Wait staff was friendly but very slow and they were not busy at the time. Shrimp and cheese grits were good. My favorite was the appetizer sampler. Good crab cake, fried oysters with spicy sauce, shrimp rumalade and traditional fried green tomatoes. ( I don't care for tomatoes and they won't let you substitute.) Menu needs major upgrade as it was just paper and downgrades the vibe. With a few tweaks, would be awesome.

Very disappointed! Not the type of service I remembered from my previous visits. No one was there to greet us at the door. We stood until we finally sat ourselves somewhere even though the sign told us to wait. That should have been our first clue. The waitress totally forgot our appetizer and took forever getting our order out. Had to hunt down my own condiments. Burger was not cooked the way we requested. The atmosphere was an absolute wreck. There was a large group making enough noise that I thought I was in a club. Apparently tonight is the manager's night off! That is if they have one. The waitress made no restitution for the failure to get our appetizers and the poor experience.

This place was slammed when we stopped in. We walked in and ordered food to go. It was a bit pricey, but good. You would be paying for atmosphere for sure (which we mostly missed out on because we took ours to go). I'd stay and have seat next time. One of the better places on the street. Great location!

Food was not good. The pork skins with queso dip was interesting and tasty. Service was good. Bar was busy and loud.

The food was excellent, but I had to "assemble" the PoBoy sandwich myself. I prefer my to have my food come out as the chef intended it to look and taste.

Poor service! Waited on our food for over 45 minutes on a day when there were only a few people dining. The food was over seasoned & shrimp & grits were served with tiny frozen shrimp! Hostess was pleasant but loud yelling at servers when handling our check at our table.We aren't planning to return.

Ate there years ago, at that time the food was great but so were the prices!

Bad service and way overpriced for what you get. Chicken salad barely had any chicken for $10.95 and their catfish and fries no flavor for $18.95

I like to get the alligator appetizer and the 27 oz steak and watch the fireworks after doing Christmas time

Service was terrible. Ordered just a dessert and have been sitting here for 30 minutes. AND had to wait about 10 minutes at the table before the waitress to come take our drink order!

The food was awesome and the service was A1! Overall atmosphere was very warm and inviting, the owner even came out and greeted us! Definitely coming back!

We went for the light festival in town. Someone suggested this restaurant. Music was great but loud, couldn't hear people talking next to us. The food took forever...we ordered mostly appetizers, soups, fries, mini meat pies, one chicken salad. The waitress was trying her best. The manager even came over to see how we were. I ordered the gumbo....tasty but luke warm. If it were not for the appetizers, I wouldn't have ordered anything! Every thing else was doubled/ tripled the money for dinner items. I don't know if I would go back. Nice staff....slow service....expensive food.

We stopped there to watch the fireworks during the Christmas festival. We sat on the balcony. It was very nice.

Not gluten-free dining friendly - but the food may be worth it for non-Celiac Disease sufferers! Had the "Red Dirt Shrimp" and, post 'reaction' to my food (actually found a cooked elbow macaroni in my rice - could have been more and I ate them without knowing), still think the spices and uniqueness of the flavors were phenomenal. Great portions (mine and all my friends) and attentive service. Even live music that was very nice; he even sang "Happy Birthday" to a friend in our group, which was a lot of fun! (Think his name was Burion, but could have that wrong.) Low-key ambiance was a nice change. Loved the old gas lamp light poles in the main dining area.

We got there with only 5 tables there and we waiting over an hour for our food. Not only did we have a ridiculous wait for 3 fried meals but the chicken fried steak was literally like biting into a piece of rubber. The waitress was no where to be found for 30 minutes. Do not recommend at all.

Horrible service. Other restaurants had a long wait and this one was empty. That should have been a sign not to go in, but we gave them a try. Had to go to the bar to get waters fpr the table to go with our meals because the waitress took like 20 min to refill our drinks after asking! There were only 3 other groups seated and 3-4 waitresses.Avoid this place.

Really, really slow service. Probably the slowest I have ever experienced, anywhere. Food was cold and I felt sick after eating it. Complete waste of time. I will never visit here again and could not ever recommend this place to anyone.....Re: Must be thinking of someone else. When we came it was not busy at all. Place was half empty. Thats what made the service so bad because there was no reason for it to be so slow. And yes, the food was gross. I didn't need to bring it to anyone's attention, after the ridiculous long wait for everything, even drinks, I didn't even care anymore and I just was ready to get out of there.

The new owners are doing an amazing job. Food was the best tonight that I've ever had there. Great job guys!

I made reservations for three on Thursday at 5pm and when we arrived we were promptly greeted and seated. The food was excellent as was the service. Will definitely eat here again!

The wait staff was very slow (and they were not busy). The food was extremely overpriced for what you received. It was mediocre at best. I would not recommend it.

Absolutely loved it here! Great atmosphere friendly staff and amazing food. The loft upstairs is a great place to entertain for a party or just relax and watch the game. They have an upstairs bar with a pool table,darts and great music. This is hands down one of, if not the BEST restaurant in Natchitoches!! The owners are very welcoming and really exemplify what southern hospitality is all about. Ron and Angela thank you for showing us a good time!

It's a Natchitoches classic, few things ever really change in this town - sometimes that's a good thing!

My. Favorite. Spot. The people who work here are amazing! I can't say enough about the staff. Our food was quick, warm, and delicious. The Fried Green Tomatoes were cooked perfectly. We enjoyed cocktails and local beers, including some *specialty* cocktails designed by the lovely Syndnee, our bartender. The space is gorgeous and atmosphere is casual. I enjoy the aesthetic which respects the history of Front St. but has a modern, industrial flare.

Ate lunch here with my lady.Server was excellent. Bre , Food was first class.Waited a bit too get to us.But overall a great experience.

Great service and great food! Gatlin, our waiter, was friendly and quick to take our order and get our food out to us. I had the chicken alfredo which was good, but I wish I had gotten my wife's dish, the bourbon chicken - it was delicious! Definitely will come back here when we're in town again.

Great atmosphere and service with great food

Fantastic food, we had a variety, all great, but you have to have the crawfish etouffee topping on something!
